Marketing and Communications Officer
We are looking for a creative and organised Marketing & Communications Officer to support both internal and external communications, assist with customer and supplier relationship management, and drive sales and marketing strategy at the Oxford Pharmacy Store (OPS).
OPS is a trusted NHS-owned pharmaceutical wholesaler, supplying specialist medicines and healthcare products to hospitals and healthcare providers across the UK. In this role, you will contribute to digital marketing campaigns, social media management, and event marketing to enhance the OPS brand and customer engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated marketing professional with experience in sales, digital marketing, and customer service—particularly within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales and Marketing strategy to increase revenue and brand awareness.
- Manage customer and supplier enquiries via phone, email, and website.
- Create and oversee marketing publications, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Develop and maintain OPS websites and social media channels.
- Implement marketing projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
- Actively promote OPS products and services to grow business opportunities.
- Support relationship management with customers and suppliers.
- Prepare data and reports for internal meetings and external tenders.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
- Strong understanding of customer and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills across diverse groups.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines.
- A high level of accuracy in record-keeping, particularly in medicines distribution and stock control.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Understanding of NHS operations and pharmacy services.
- Knowledge of financial systems and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Professional sales or marketing qualification from a recognised body.
- Experience working in the NHS or pharmaceutical industry.
