Market Analyst

We are seeking a Market Analyst to join our Commercial Services Team, supporting clients with market intelligence, data analysis, and reporting in the energy and sustainability sector.

As part of a leading UK energy and sustainability advisory firm, you will produce market reports, conduct research, and analyze data to support businesses in their journey towards net zero and cost-effective energy management.

This role is perfect for a career-minded and ambitious individual looking for an opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Market Reporting: Write reports on key market events affecting energy commodity prices, including supply/demand fundamentals and price outlooks.
• Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and dynamics, producing long-form content for clients and internal teams.
• Data Analysis: Identify correlations between market fundamentals and pricing trends to support informed decision-making.
• Data Visualization: Compile and present market data using Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI to make insights easily accessible.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Background in STEM, Economics, or Finance, with experience in research and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written communication skills, with experience in short- and long-form content creation.

Desirable:

• Experience or knowledge of energy markets.
• Coding skills in VBA or Python, including API usage for data retrieval.
• Familiarity with PowerBI for data visualization.
